What age is the SnugTub suitable for? +

SnugTub is designed for babies who can sit upright with support, typically from around 6 months up to 12 months. It’s ideal for the transition phase between infant tubs and sitting independently in the bath.

Will the suction cups work on all bathtubs? +

The suction cups provide a strong, secure hold on smooth, flat surfaces such as standard bathtubs and shower floors. For best results, avoid textured or non-slip tub surfaces, as suction may not adhere as firmly.

Is it easy to get my baby in and out of the seat? +

Yes. SnugTub features a front-opening safety bar that unlocks easily, allowing you to place your baby in and lift them out without squeezing their legs through fixed openings. This makes bath time safer and much more convenient.

This seat made bath time so much easier. My baby wasn’t ready to sit on his own yet, and this was the perfect transition. The suction cups hold well, and the front opening makes getting him in and out simple. I actually enjoy bath time now.

FAQs

What age range is this bath seat suitable for? +

It’s designed for babies who can sit up independently, usually from about 6 months up to around 12 months. Most manufacturers recommend using it once baby can sit unassisted (typically ~6 months) until they start trying to stand or weigh about 20-25 lbs. For example, one popular bath seat is rated 5 to 10 months old . In practice, many parents use our seat up to 12+ months as long as the child fits comfortably and isn’t attempting to climb out. Always supervise your child regardless of age.

Will it slip or tip over in the tub? +

On a smooth tub surface, the seat will not slip or tip. It has four strong suction cups that hold it securely in place to prevent sliding . This keeps even wiggly babies stable. However, if your bathtub has a textured or non-slip bottom, suction cups (of any brand) may not stick as well . In those cases, the seat could be less stable, so we don’t recommend use on heavily textured surfaces. Always test the seat’s stability before filling the tub. And of course, never let baby lean out unattended – the seat is safe, but it’s not a substitute for a watchful parent.

How do I remove the seat and suction cups after the bath? +

The suction cups are designed to stick firmly (for safety), so removal requires a little technique. Do not yank the seat up by force. Instead, lift the small tab on each suction cup (or peel up the edge of each cup one by one) to release the air seal. Start with one cup, then the next, until all four are released. This will allow you to easily lift the seat out. Pro tip: letting a little water get under the edge of a suction cup can also help break the seal. Parents on forums noted that pulling the suction tabs makes removal much easier than trying to pry the whole seat . With a bit of practice, you’ll pop it off quickly after each bath.

Can I use this seat in a shower (if I don’t have a bathtub)? +

Yes, many parents do! As long as you have a flat, smooth floor in your shower, the suction cups will adhere just like in a tub. You can place the seat on your shower floor, sit your baby in it, and use a handheld shower head or a small amount of water for rinsing. One mom shared that she puts the seat on her shower floor so she can keep an eye on baby while she showers – it was a “life saver” for her . Just be cautious: ensure the floor isn’t too textured and don’t allow water to rise too high around the baby. It’s a versatile solution for homes without a full bathtub.

Does it come with any toys or extras? +

Yes! Our bath seat comes with 3 fun baby bath toys included. These are cute, waterproof toys (like little sea creatures) that float and squirt water. They’re perfect for keeping your baby entertained while seated. Many parents find that having some toys to grab and play with makes their baby love bath time even more. (No more boredom = no more bath time fuss!) The toys are free with your purchase as a bonus value. Of course, you can also use your own favorite bath toys – the seat’s open design gives baby room to reach and play.

How is this different from other bath seats? +

Our bath seat has several improvements over older designs. First, the front opens up, which is a game-changer – no other standard bath ring seat in the past had this. It means no awkward maneuvering to get baby in and out, and no risk of them getting stuck. (Older bath seats without an opening have had issues where babies slipped and got stuck in the leg holes – our design completely avoids that.) Second, the suction cups provide superior stability on smooth surfaces, whereas some others would slide if the tub had any texture . We also include toys and use high-quality materials for comfort. Essentially, it’s safer, easier to use, and more fun than the basic bath seats you might find elsewhere.

Do I still need to supervise my baby when using this seat? +

Absolutely, yes. Never leave your baby unattended in the bath, even when they’re in this seat. The bath seat greatly reduces the risk of slips and gives you free hands, but it’s not a babysitter. A child can tip forward or attempt to stand when you least expect it. Always stay within arm’s reach. The seat’s purpose is to make bathing easier and safer for you and baby together. Think of it as an extra set of helping hands – not a replacement for your watchful eye. As long as you’re supervising, this seat will help you both enjoy those baths with much less stress.
